Sacred Ground’s Online Sacred Circle is an inclusive space for belonging. It is a space to be heard, held, and to just be in community.
Join us online by Zoom the first Saturday of each month from 9am - 10am.
This contemplative gathering will use a “third thing”—a reading, poem, or prompt for reflection. Participants will have the option of sharing in a smaller group. This is an opportunity to listen deeply and to be present to one another’s stories.
What is the purpose of the Sacred Circle?
The Sacred Circle is rooted in love and the value of all people and their Sacred stories. Those in the Sacred Circle create safe space for all to be valued and to validate that they are loved beyond measure for exactly who they are, in supportive community. The Sacred Circle creates a space of rest and renewal, as well as a space for shared compassion around the joys, fears, and realities of all its members.
“In this space, we neither invade the mystery of another’s true self nor evade another’s struggles. We stay present to each other without wavering, while stilling any impulse to fix each other up. We offer support in going where each needs to go, and learning what each needs to learn, at each one’s pace and depth.” Parker Palmer, id.
There is no fee for this group. Donations to Sacred Ground are always welcome.
Facilitator:
Traci Arends, a graduate of Sacred Ground, is a spiritual director and lifelong learner. In pursuit of her PhD, Traci conducted research on the transformative impact of a spiritual direction formation program rooted in Ignatian Spirituality. The net gain for her in the research journey was the privilege of engaging with a broad population of these graduates in deeply meaningful ways, as they articulated and identified their transformative journeys. This pursuit was born out of her own healing journey and her deep belief that we all experience trauma and can choose healing. In the Sacred Circle, we can experience meaningful connection and just be with ourselves and each other.
