Groundings: Contemplative Dialogue Through Movement

  • Ignatius Hall at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church 1079 Summit Avenue Saint Paul, MN, 55105 United States (map)

In this session, Christine Luna Munger will lead us as we offer our attention to Five Ordinary Movements (FOM) and tend to contemplative dialogue with God, with others, and with our self.  Together, we will look at the FOM: ups and downs, back and forth, cycling of spirals, tension of a web, and vibration of concentric circles as metaphors for both discerning the Presence of the Holy One in the context of ordinary life, as well for choosing life-giving responses in our interactions with others through contemplative dialogue. The session will include input from the facilitator, personal reflection time, small group sharing, and guided meditation practice.

Christine Luna Munger currently serves as the Director of the Episcopal House of Prayer in Collegeville, MN.  She received her Ph.D. in Practical Theology from St. Thomas University in Miami, and completed her Spiritual Direction training at Creighton University in Omaha.  She is also trained as a supervisor of spiritual directors.  Christine grew up in the Catholic, Christian family and is committed to the contemplative path.  Christine is a wife and mother of two young children.  She is bilingual (English & Spanish) and enjoys all forms of dance, swimming, and being outdoors. directorhouseprayer@csbsju.edu
