The Sacred Ground Center for Spirituality was founded in 1996 by spiritual directors trained by the Cenacle Sisters in Wayzata, Minnesota. Sacred Ground opened as an independent and ecumenical organization in June 1997, continuing the Cenacle charism of “awakening and deepening faith for and with the people of our time.” The Sacred Ground Center for Spirituality is adjacent to the College of St. Catherine, located in the Carondelet Center at 1890 Randolph Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105. This stately building was constructed in 1912 as the novitiate for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet (CSJ) St. Paul Province. Carondelet Center is a quiet place of rest, prayer and reflection. The building is handicap accessible for day events only. Overnight accommodations are available to those desiring an extended private retreat. Sacred Ground Spiritual Directors are available for individual appointments.
